It depends on upfront cost, long-term savings, available roof space, and family size. Solar costs more initially but typically pays for itself in electricity savings within about 6 years — worthwhile if you’re not planning to move houses often. Damage to the outer body, sites where water PPM levels exceed the specified limit (see your warranty book for exact figures), and electrical faults caused by voltage fluctuations are not covered.
