Water Heater for Mango Post Harvest Treatment

Custom water heater system for mango post-harvest disease control, using automated recirculation to hold precise dip-tank temperatures for anthracnose and stem-end rot treatment.

The water heater for mango post-harvest treatment application delivers hot water at a precisely controlled temperature for disease-control dips immediately after harvest. This system is especially used to control fungal infections such as anthracnose and stem-end rot in mangoes.

    How It Works

Water is heated in a storage tank and held ready at a set temperature. A circulation pump moves this water into an open treatment tub, where harvested mangoes are dipped for disease control. As the tub's temperature drops during use, water automatically recirculates back through the heater until the set temperature is restored — keeping the tub within the precise range treatment requires, all day. For anthracnose and stem-end rot control, this typically means 52-55°C for 5-10 minutes; quarantine export protocols may instead call for a longer, lower-temperature treatment around 46°C for 65-110 minutes, depending on fruit size. Water quality management (such as chlorination) is not included as standard but can be customised into the system on request.
