How much does a rooftop solar system cost?
The cost depends on system size, panel brand, roof type and structure height. After a free site survey we give you an itemised quote, and for homes we also show your cost after the government subsidy.
What size system do I need?
We size the system from your electricity bill and roof space. As a rough guide, each 1 kW needs around 60 sq ft of shade-free roof. Share your bill and we’ll recommend the right size.
How does a rooftop solar system work?
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, and an inverter turns that power into the form your home or building uses. The system usually includes a combiner box and energy meter, and connects to the grid with optional battery storage.
Can solar panels be installed on any roof?
Yes, on any roof that can bear the weight of the panels. Each panel weighs approximately 30–35 kg, and we check the roof’s strength during the site survey.
Which solar panel brands do you install?
We install panels from any Tier 1 manufacturer. Tier 1 brands give you confidence in efficiency, durability and long-term warranty support. We’ll help you choose the right one for your budget, roof space and energy needs.
How much electricity will my system produce?
On average, about 4–9 units per kW per day, depending on the panel model and roof conditions.
What government subsidy is available, and how do I get it?
Homes are eligible for the central PM Surya Ghar subsidy, and Tamil Nadu has announced additional state support. The subsidy is credited to your bank account after installation and inspection via
pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Our team files the application for you.
Who handles TNEB approvals and net metering?
We do. Our team handles the complete liaison with TNEB, from the application to net meter installation, along with your subsidy paperwork.
Can you help me get a bank loan for solar?
Yes. We help you with the documents and coordinate with the bank so you can finance your rooftop system. Ask our team about it when we share your quote.
Do you offer energy audits?
Yes. For large commercial, industrial and government projects we do a free energy audit to study your load and recommend the right system size.
How do you make sure the structure and earthing are safe?
We manufacture our own support structures and design them for the wind load at your site. For earthing, we measure the earth resistance on site and install earth rods until the reading is within the required limit.
What warranty do I get?
Solar panels come with a 30-year warranty and the inverter with a 7-year warranty, both from the manufacturers. Our team helps you with any warranty claims.
How does solar perform on cloudy or rainy days?
Generation drops on cloudy and monsoon days, but averaged over the year, output stays around 4–9 units per kW per day depending on the model.
What maintenance is needed?
Mainly regular cleaning of the panels to remove dust, plus periodic checks of wiring and the inverter. Our Annual Maintenance Program covers this for you.
What is net metering?
A system that credits you for excess electricity your panels send to the grid, using a bi-directional meter to track energy consumed versus supplied.
Do you install outside Tamil Nadu?
Yes, we take up rooftop solar projects across India. Our team visits your site for an assessment, we ship the structures, panels, inverter and mounting hardware from Coimbatore, and our team installs and commissions the system on site. Ask us about after-sales service for your location.
What regulatory approvals are required?
For plants above 20 kW, a building and structure stability certificate and a safety certificate from the electricity board are required before grid connection. We arrange these for you.
